SAIT Tax Chronicles: Case Law on Invalid Objection Notice due to Tax Non-Compliance

Tax Chronicles Legacy Article

Before diving into new articles and commentaries, I wanted to bring this published South African Institute of Tax ("SAIT") Tax Chronicles Newsletter article back into the spotlight. Although it addresses more advanced legislation, receiving the opportunity to have an opinion piece in the SAIT Tax Chronicles is held in high regard amongst industry professionals.

My co-authored article unpacks the court case law regarding invalid objections that still sparks discussion in practice today.

I'm resurfacing it here because the judgement provides important guidance for taxpayers and advisors alike, and remains a useful reminder of how the courts expect us to approach and interpret compliance.

Consider this an easily accessible refresher. Download it below!
